Now I’m gonna bring this course to a close like any good Spiritual Coach Memoirist Massage Therapist would - by quoting Rumi.

“You are not a drop in the ocean. You are the entire ocean in a single drop.”

Yes. You contain multitudes.

And…that’s a lotta salt for one person. So for myself, that quote makes me feel better about my attitude and my ankles.

This quote also represents to me why our relationships, the ones we have with others and the ones we have with ourselves, serve as petri dishes that allow us to observe, study, and better understand all of humanity- if we’re willing to dive deep enough.

Our life experiences are both personal and universal.

The deeper we understand ourselves, the deeper we’re able to connect with and understand the people around us.

This is why when people stay on the surface making general statements to get the responses they want the way say…. an HVAC salesman might say, “You like cool air in the summer right?” There will be an equally surface level response like, “Yeah, sure.

But when someone dives deep, sharing painfully beautifully personal and specific details of their own lives?

We cry.

We burst into laughter.

We reach for their hands.

We somehow recognize ourselves and a kindred spirit in a complete stranger of a different race, different gender, different culture, on a different continent.

It’s the nitty gritty of our lives that really has the ability to both ruffle our feathers and heal our hearts.

Experience is the absolute best teacher, and Narcissists teach us a LOT if we pay attention. They’ll push us right out of the people pleasing nests we’ve been hiding in and help us finally lean into our discernment and wisdom and finally let ourselves fly!

When you experience these manipulation tactics, cycles, and patterns first hand enough to recognize the scent? Your entire system lights up when it sniffs them out later in life, the same way you’d immediately recognize your grandmothers perfume in a department store or the smell of your play-doh set from when you were only five!

If you pay attention to what’s lighting up inside you, you’ll see governments, leaders, and media using the exact same tactics and your gut will say, “Ah yes…this is familiar. I don’t trust it.

You’ll see grooming, love bombing, pity seeking, attention grabbing. Isolating, triangulating, gaslighting, projecting. Tapping into societal needs of acceptance and belonging. Using language, news, and marketing to target our spiritual, psychological, and emotional vulnerabilities. Then giving back warped and empty replacements for things like real love, connection, and truth.

We’ve been here before, we know how it goes…

They'll try everything but honesty and accountability. They’ll pout. They’ll fly into rages. They’ll threaten we’ll be shuffling the sidewalks without em… alone, destitute, and not to mention ugly. They’ll point fingers at everyone else and name anyone using critical thinking delusional and paranoid. (Who knew your ex was so cut out for politics am I right?)

And just like the roles played within the family and social circles of your own life, you’ll recognize large masses of society illustrating the role of the Enabler. Nice pleasant people for the most part just picking a side for kickball and a coach to follow. They’ll click in and out of conscious awareness, recognizing the dishonesty and faulty moral judgements they follow in celebrities and leaders. They’ll complain and complain but never dare make change for themselves. They’ll give a weak smile and shrug their shoulders as if to say, “It’s not up to me, I’m just doing as I’m told.”

And even though at times it may be painful and frightening, recognizing these reflections of our own life experiences for what they are and not being afraid to trust ourselves and question everything, is how we come home to ourselves and regain power in our own lives.

Your ability to understand and see more than two sides of any story trusting in what you know and feel is what allows you to create peace within yourself amidst chaos. This is what keeps you clear and steady in a distorted world. This is what being empowered truly is about.

This is how you rise above the polarizing extremes screaming and demanding you pick a side.

You start by dissolving those dualities within yourself.

This allows you to observe the world around you with a far wider lens.

To question things, not because you’re paranoid from spending too much time on youtube, but because something isn’t adding up and you’d like more details is all.

This kind of critical thinking is a cornerstone to peace, because no matter what or how much information is thrown at you on a daily basis, you can be real picky on what you actually choose to entertain.

When we live from deeply rooted compassion and wisdom, we no longer need to dehumanize anyone in order to think good of ourselves. We no longer need to remove all faults or put anyone on pedestals of perfection in order to see the wisdom and light in them.

It’s all part of being human.

I believe as Empaths we’re naturally talented at encompassing a level of feeling and understanding that many haven’t yet tapped into and because this makes it impossible to just pick a side, our feelings feel too big. We feel like we’re too much. We don’t know where we fit in or why we feel so alien because the dimensions of our feelings don’t fit into societal norms.

I think we’re homesick for the capacity of our true whole selves.

And how the heeeeeeell are the people meant for us gonna find us when we aren’t even living from our real address, you know what I mean?

I can tell you from experience, spending your life as a people pleaser and peace keeper is like never being home. Living out of a suitcase. Surviving on gas station coffee and stale pretzels. You spend so much of your life living in other people’s worlds at other people’s addresses, you begin to fear no one sees you at all, no one gets you, no one will ever show up on your front doorstep like you do for others everyday.

But when you do finally come home and take off your running shoes? You’ll get knocks on your front door and neighbors will say, “Oh my God you’re actually here, I’ve been coming by to visit for weeks!” The mailman will gasp delighted, “I’ve got packages for you but couldn’t find you to get a signature!” Your skin and hormones and digestive system will say, “What Spa is this?! Wow…this is great!” And slowly but surely, you’ll realize how much healing and love and belonging have been waiting for you to just come home and answer the door.

We can’t change others and we can’t save others, but we can allow them to live the lives they create for themselves and most importantly- allow ourselves to do the same.

We are not here to survive in a broken world, to protect ourselves and shield ourselves from the darkness that has plagued the human spirit. We are here to dissolve fear itself from the brightest light of our own divinity. To breathe into and speak from the power of our compassion and see that fear has only ever been the abandonment and separation from the love we are.

You feel every wound, every spark of light, every breath of life in every drop of pain because you are meant to encompass it all. You are meant to heal so you can reclaim your power in your sensitivity to love and truth!

It is safe for you to be seen.

It is safe for you to be heard.

When you allow yourself to embody worthiness and love, it can no longer be revoked.

It is safe for you to outgrow the old beliefs that we must be less of ourselves to survive in a broken world.

You are here to heal and create a new experience.

To feel and breathe love into every space of separation that kept you fighting rather than creating.

You could never mess this up.

We are moving into a place where no one human being should have authority over another. Where we each become the leader of our own lives with our own voice and no longer deplete the world or one another of resources and energy.

We are truly made for these times and our experiences have given us everything we need to not only navigate our way through them, but free ourselves from fighting battles that aren’t ours to fight.

Do you see how insanely incredible your healing is? The impact your decision to free yourself has on the entire world and generations to come?

You are the bonafide definition of a badass.

I love you.

Congratulations and THANK YOU for completing this course and sharing your time with me! Go treat yourself!
