It’s taken years — I’m talkin’ decades for me to actually use the dishwasher as a dishwashing appliance and not a double decker drying rack with lights and buttons.

So as silly as it may be, very often when I decide not to hand wash something but just toss it in the dishwasher I’ll think to myself,

Look at me go! Fast and easy.

Like when I happened upon a $2 water bottle and bought it for my husband thinking,

What a steal! Done and done.

I got home and promptly popped it in the dishwasher so proud of myself for using the appliance as it was intended.

But when I woke up the next morning and slid out the top rack to grab a coffee mug there was a surprise waiting for me…

Sometimes it is best to do the work ourselves rather than use a quick fix.

And just because it’s cheap doesn’t mean it’s a bargain.

Just in case you also need a reminder today-

You’re allowed to take your time with things and really care about what you consume and what you create.

We’ve got enough dicks in the world already.
